Scovan has outlined a strategic vision aimed at integrating digitalization into our operational processes, with a focus on automating the production of engineering and fabrication deliverables. Our objective is to empower engineers to spend more time on the intricacies of our projects, such as solving complex challenges for our clients, rather than being mired in the laborious task of compiling data into deliverables. This initiative aligns with Scovan's distinctive business model, allowing us to harness digitalization to enhance efficiency for our clients and within our own engineering and fabrication frameworks.

Our efforts hinge on the identification of a singular source of truth to streamline the generation of data-intensive yet straightforward deliverables. After careful consideration, we've opted for a drawing-centric model centred around Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) as our source of truth. In collaboration with Drishya.ai, we've developed Artisan, a software tool designed to interpret P&IDs and create a database of information capable of generating various engineering deliverables. This drawing-centric approach seamlessly integrates with Scovan's existing engineering workflow, where P&/Ds serve as foundational elements early in the design process.

Recognizing digitalization as imperative to remaining competitive in the engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction sectors, Scovan has embarked on this journey, leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence tools. Given our commitment to delivering integrated engineering and module fabrication services to our clients, our focus on efficiency drives us to seek cost-saving measures in manpower, fabrication, and other areas. These efficiencies sharpen our competitive edge within our niche market and allow us to optimize our engineers' time as we scale our operations. An additional benefit of this efficiency drive is increased staff retention and job satisfaction by making the most of our engineers time.

The partnership between Scovan and Drishya.ai leverages Drishya's expertise in machine learning and software development, along with Scovan's proficiency in oil and gas engineering workflows and deliverables. Using the cloud-based tool Artisan enables Scovan engineers to generate required deliverables for facility modules and well sites.

Once the P&IDs for construction are finalized, Artisan's web interface allows engineers to upload the drawings. Machine learning algorithms then extract and catalogue relevant information. This information is used to populate Scovan's existing project templates, facilitating the finalization and issuance of deliverables through established workflows. As Artisan's capabilities evolve, it will incorporate cross-referencing and information retrieval from additional sources beyond P&IDs, melding with engineers' daily activities

Scovan has adopted a phased approach to testing and incorporating Artisan into our workflows, employing a hybrid agile approach. These tools, varying in maturity levels, undergo rigorous testing. Simpler tools undergo deployment testing within our standard engineering workflows, while more complex tools undergo iterative testing phases similar to software development.

Engineers in these phases act as super users upon deployment, promoting broader adoption across their respective teams.

Artisan represents the first step in constructing the infrastructure that will support Scovan's future construction projects for our clients. With Artisan at the forefront of our digital transformation, we are poised to transform our operational workflows, enhance efficiency, and improve the quality of our output for our clients.
